Do I need to scrap it off and put on better stuff? Is the compound that came w/ the Freezer 7 pro sufficient for a mildly overclocked (3.2 E6600) setup? tks

I'm interested in this question myself. Like you, I'm wondering about the performance of the included Thermal Interface Material (Pre-applied MX-1 Paste) -vs- AS5 or some similar aftermarket TIM.

Has anyone used the stock "Pre-applied MX-1 Paste" - and your opinion?

See this THERMAL GREASE SHOOTOUT

DaSickNinja has Masscool Shin-Etsu x23 rated best, followed by AS Ceramique ... I've had a bunch of guys in CPU who swear by Ceramique ... I think either would be excellent for that freezer 7 pro. And the stock MX-1 Paste would probably work fine with good air flow and a mild to moderate OC. I've not used either. Just my guess based on what others are reporting.
