hi everyone,i use windows xp and i have ubuntu installed on my netbook (and i can use ubuntu perfect) and i want to use my music;video,pictures and other multimedia stuff on my ubuntu(with is still available on my windows xp).how do i import this to my ubuntu system?i am new to ubuntu.thanks for helping!

Just transfer the files like you would between 2 Windows machines: take a USB key or external storage device, plug it into your Windows machine, copy the files, disconnect, plug into your Ubuntu machine and copy the files onto the file system.

Then in a terminal window use sudo apt-get install <program name> to install the media applications of your choice.

Banshee springs to mind for music, VLC for video and well pictures can just be viewed use the Ubuntu really.
