Hi all, I'm new to this area of the forums.

I installed Ubuntu onto a spare 2.5 inch HD on my laptop, in hopes that it would be more responsive and boot faster than Vista. I'm planning to try several distros, than pick the one that seems to work best for me. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get my wireless Internet working, which is a major deal breaker for me. Wired ethernet does work, but it looks like it has a different controller than the wireless function.

As best I can tell:

Wired controller: Realtek RTL8101E/RTL8102E

Wireless Controller: Broadcom BCM4322 a/b/g/n controller.

This info was found by using the lspci command in terminal.

Basically you just need to install the 'STA' driver from the restricted repository and activate it.

I actually got it working with the drivers from Broadcom, and then on a fresh install on a different HDD (a partition of my main HD), it worked without having to install.
