Three sentence summary?? Vista users think it's funny. Some XP users cry foul, claiming MSFT cheated or whatever... Nobody's mind was changed.
------------------------------Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground? Or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group?

I think it made a point. Not that a test like that proves a whole lot but still, I think it had some deserved effect. The attitude those people had going in! Nice work Apple.

Totally agree...
So many people have complained about Vista before even seeing it...its so funny how quick people are able to judge something without even looking at it...I just really wish microsoft made anti mac adds just like apple...but I guess Microsoft doesn't even have too...lol...

Heh - If MSFT went after Apple like APPL goes after them, the guys in Redmond would likely be in court defending against Monopoly charges. You can get away with it when you're the underdog, but when you're as large compared to your opponent as Microsoft is compared to Apple, you have to be careful your actions aren't interpreted as anti-competitive.

It only proves how many "sheep" there are out there... they take everything negative they read about MS's latest OS as gospel truth without even so much as looking at it before they make up their mind. Everyone is ready to pounce on every tiny issue and blow it completely out of proportion.
Of course, MS is #1 and that pisses a lot of people off. If OS X were top dog... I'd bet we'd see as many complaints about it as we do about Vista.

did mojave take them through how much they would have to pay to get same as xp...meaning you need 1 gig for xp....vs 4 gig for vista...that costs extra.
Also, did mojave ask the user if one wanted to send a fax as this could be done with xp...but you cant unless you have ultimate...which cost $200 extra.
there are extra costs with vista and anything good or extra that is beyond xp (or equal) is in most expensive version...ultimate; that pisses me off.
Fax is also included in Vista Business... you just don't get all the multimedia apps or Bitlocker drive encryption. Basically, if you need all the functionality of XP Pro at a lower price point, go with Vista Business. Chances are you aren't using your work PC as a HTPC anyway.

I'm surprised that the business class machines aren't coming with DVD drives... perhaps you should be looking at a different OEM than HP? Vista Business still comes with Media Player... though I'm not sure if it plays DVDs right out of the box. I do know that I have an Acer box at work that came with Business and the ability to play DVDs... basically if it comes with the drive, it should come with DVD software as well.

I'm gonna say this is false. I ran Vista Home Premium for about 6 months with 1 gig, then upgraded to 2 gigs. I didn't notice a difference. I say your typical "sheep" would be fine with 1 gig.
