Transfering C partition to a new HDD

I recently bought a new 500 Gb HDD which is much faster than my old 250 Gb drive. Having installed vista only 2 weeks ago with all the software etc I only want to transfer my 50 gigs C partition to the new HDD.

So far what Ive done is create a 50 Gb partition on the new drive but have no clue how to copy the system files over and be able to boot it from the new partition .

Thanks in advance

More about transfering partition
  1. You need to use some sort of cloning software like Acronis True Image.
  2. Are there any freeware programs or any other way that doesnt involve spending $? :P
  3. There are, but I have no idea what they're called. Just search for free hard disk cloning tools.
  4. Thx a lot, will do that.
  5. Wow sweet :D, look really good
