Hello,

I recently bought a new 500 Gb HDD which is much faster than my old 250 Gb drive. Having installed vista only 2 weeks ago with all the software etc I only want to transfer my 50 gigs C partition to the new HDD.

So far what Ive done is create a 50 Gb partition on the new drive but have no clue how to copy the system files over and be able to boot it from the new partition .

Thanks in advance

You need to use some sort of cloning software like Acronis True Image.

There are, but I have no idea what they're called. Just search for free hard disk cloning tools.
