Im about done building my first computer and Im having a small issue with it booting up. During start up/booting I am always asked if I want to start vista or an older version of windows. It is automatically defaulted to select vista after 30sec.

I used a fresh copy of vista it was an oem package. Everything else works great. Is there away for it to skip this, so my machine will start up faster with out me having to babysit it and select vista every time. It will start up to vista all on its own but there's that stupid 30sec pause to allow you to select an older version of windows. Ive never actually tried it to see what it would do.

Did you already have an OS installed when you installed Vista?

goto run msconfig|boot and change the timeout to whatever you want.
It defaults to 30 seconds
Leave a couple of seconds in case you want to use the other op sys
