Maybe someone can confirm or debunk this information I pulled off of Newegg Reviews of the QX6700. It states that the "B" stepping ie(L628B632) is the preferred batch for over clocking then the "A" chips and then the "F" chips. Does anybody know if this is true? I emailed a guy selling these chips on Ebay and he said he had a chip with a "G" in the number, I don't have any information on the G chip. If I am going to spend $800.00+ for a CPU I want the one with the highest potential.

That is a good read on how the cpu's are made but what I want to know is which batch numbers are the best for over clocking? Or is there even a way to find out?

User input is needed for test of that question, dig around forumz a pricey CPU would be hard to find that answer. To start go to wikipida that may have the answer.
No mostly for folding at home, and as my main computer. I am going to make the computer I am using a dedicated folding computer 24/7 it is an e6600 P5w w/4Gig of PC2 8000 Crucial laser ram and OC at 3.11 Gig.

Yes Mugz thats what I am asking about in my original post, about "F" stepping vs "A" vs "B" vs "G" etc. I want to buy the processor with the most potential for overclocking. I have not been able to find a definite answer yet! Maybe nobody knows except Intel!
