I've tried everything. I used AutoStreamer and it won't recognize my Dell copy of XP. I tried nLite and it burns a copy but after trying to download SP2 from Microsoft and from a CD I still get usbehci.sys corrupted, I'm running out of CD's since I've tried this 10 or 12 times. I tried gparted and I don't know where to download it from that will make it boot from something other than a DOS program. I'm not a computer whiz and know DOS or I wouldn't be here. Unless someone can help me figure out where I've gone wrong, must be somewhere since obviously someone has done this befor or either everyone is having a big laugh at the dummy that is tagging along, I will have to format the unallocated space and give it another drive letter.
I guess I should have added the other threads I wrote to this forum. I have bought all the parts from NewEgg. Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, Seagate 400gb HDD Sata, Asus Sata CD/DVD, 2X1gb memory, Dual pentium E6400 Conroe 2.13 GHz. Now, had purchased my Dell copy on-line and used it with another computer that of course had smaller HDD. 200 I believe with no problem, at least I don't recall. Anyway, upon transfering the Copy of XP to this comoputer I found that it was only recognizing 127 gb of the new HDD, the 400gb sata. Upon research I found that was a common problem with XP copies befor they had SP2 in them all ready. So, I started researching and found slipstreaming SP2 into the copy of XP should resplve this problem with a new install with SP2 allready in the program. Upon slipstreaming several different ways the only way I found that even come close was nLite and that's where I ran into my problem with the install starting to load drivers but when it came to the usbehci.sys it stopped with an error of it being corrupted. I used SP2 from the downloaded version online and from a hard copy CD. The same each time. I tried Autostreamer and it would recognize my Dell copy. Tried the long version that was shown on this site :
and I couldn't find the .img in my copy to make sure it was a good bootable copy we were making. SO, there's where I stand. The nLite is the simpliest but it has the one problem that I found, since it stopped there, there could be others past it that I didn't get to.
