I am having a strange problem, I bought a D-Link G520M PCI WiFi Card yesterday.

The card can be detected, however, it cannot detect ANY access points at all.

I thought the card is defective, so I took it back to the shop, they tested it card right in front of me, it is 100% perfect!

The shop told me my motherboard might be incompatible with the card. I am using DFI's Lanparty Socket 939 DR-Expert. Can the DR-expert be used with this Wifi card?

I tried using each of the 3 PCI slots. Didn't work.

Tried performing a hard reset of the router, didn't work.

Can anyone confirm whether this is true? Thanks!!!

I'd delete the drivers and software for the adapter card and take out the card and restart the computer. Recycle the router and modem, unplug both and turn off the computer, wait about 3 or 4 minutes and plug in the modem, wait another 3 or 4 minutes and plug in the router, and wait and turn on the computer. Then I'd reinstall the card and be sure to follow the directions, e.g., with my Netgear adapter I have to install the drivers and software before I install the card Then run Windows Wireless Connection Wizard rather than using the set up software that came with the card but you should install any of the card software
