Ok, I don't know anymore what to do, exept start crying..
Installed Windows Vista Premium 64-bit (Finnish), all updates from windowsupdate, all needed drivers for my devices.
Installed Futuremark 3DMark06, full version, bought and a hotfix for it.
Then I downloaded OpenAL 2.03 (latest one, from http://connect.creativelabs.com/de [...] ndows.aspx), extracted the oalinst.zip.
Installed the OpenAL with "Run as administator" (or something - I got finnish Vista), then I went to
C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenAL
and set "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" compability mode for OALInst.exe there and installed it again with "Run as administator" method. Then I copied C:\Windows\System32\OpenAL32.dll into 3DMark06 installation directory (D:\Peliohjelmistot\3DMark06) and finally I removed the compability mode from C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenAL\OALInst.exe and reinstalled it with "Run as administator" to apply it again for x64.
So, now I have installed 3DMark06 in the way to fix the OpenAL32 error on program startup, but it won't fix anything!
-3DMark06 still can't find the OpenAL32.dll...
Same in short:
1. Installed 3DMark06 + hotfix
2. Installed latest OpenAL32
3. Copied OpenAL32.dll for 3DMark06 that it should find it
4. Trying to run 3DMark06 but it gives error that:
"3DMark06.exe - Osaa ei löydy
Soveluksen käynnistäminen ei onnistu, koska OpenAL32.dll ei löytynyt. Sovelluksen uudelleenasentaminen saattaa korjata ongelman."
And that in english means about:
"3DMark06.exe - Part not found
Program cannot be started, cause OpenAL32.dll cannot be found. Reinstalling program might fix the problem."
Exactly the same thing happened to my PC!
I am running Windows Vista Premium 64-bit (Japanese).
I do not have found the solutions for this issue yet.
Vista Premium 64-bit is not compatible with 3DMark06!?
