I'm looking to buy office 2007. i have Vista 64 ultimate and looking at this newegg item, i see reviews of people saying doesn't work on their 64 bit system, then i see some reviews where office works on their 64 bit system.
Sooo.......does it or doesn't it work with vista 64? I'm so confused. If it works then why are people saying it doesn't?
According to this, XP is the oldest OS the software will work on. Anything newer is fine. I use Microsoft Office 2000 on my two Vista 64 machnes. No problem. Free trial here.
works great here. Been using Vista 64 for over a year now and I use the 07 versions of outlook and word very regularly. Never heard anything about it not working in over a year of watching Vista 64 bit carefully. Lots of newegg reviewers are, well, clueless.
Sometimes people will say there is no 64 bit version of office and this is true. This does not mean office won't work on 64. Like most applications out there Office is still 32 bit. But Vista 64 runs 32 bit software perfectly well (with a very few exceptions.)
