Ati Radeon HD 2600 Pro

i dont really know whats going on, but i need some help, my comp randomly freezes and sometimes has the ati2dvag infinite loop problem, but i havnt seen that in some time. what happens is. my computer freezes during any type of game play, i can play a game for 15 minutes. and my computer will end freezing on spot and i will have to restart it, and by the time it reboots and goes to the log in screen, i have to re- download some stuff because for some reason, ever since i had this infinite loop problem, there have been random spam "readme" files that screw up all my files, and i have to re install most of my games, firefox, msn, and such on.. i'm starting to get really sick of this and i was wonder if anyone out there can help me, i have read alot of threads and boards. and NONE of them work. all end up to my computer freezing and crashing..

Graphics card : ati radeon hd 2600 pro
Computer : ACPI multiprocessor PC

Type of computer : XP Professional ( duno if you wanted to kno this)

and i really duno what else to put down, i'm really a computer noob and looking for help.. i've had this problem for about.. 6 months now.
its really starting to get to me so yea.. i ask for people out there.. that might have the same computer as me.. to help me out.. if you need any other kind of computer related info, please ask me and ill try to find it out
