Hello All, :hello:
I am running Windows xp with service pack 3 installed and for some reason the icons on the desktop are now taking 1 minute to show on the desktop. I have gone into sys config and done all the diagnostic checks available and the only way I can stop this happening is if I disable Windows Image Acquisition in Services, then the icons come straight up.

any suggestions as to what may be causing this would be appreciated.

The service is likely stalling a bit on start-up. Did you have this problem with SP2?
