I have a Philips DirecTV TIVO receiver hooked up to my SONY 42 LCD. I can't
program the TV remote to operate the receiver. Sony doesn't list Philips
brand receivers in the manual for codes. I called Sony (rep barely spoke
English...just got pissed and blew him off) and checked out website...no
luck. Any1 have Philips satellite receiver codes to program my SONY remote?

Unfortunately there are very few remotes that support TIVO codes. The
exeption are the remotes with a learning function. Those thhat can
capture an IR signal from your existing remote and store it in the
memory. So you are out of luck.

You will have to use your Tivo remote and program your TV. It doesn't seem
practical to give up the Tivo receiver function buttons just so that you
could use the TV remote.
