This is really getting on my nerves. I'm about to put linux on my laptop.
Anyway, about half the time I connect to a wireless or wired network, vista displays the network as "local only" and won't allow me internet access. I've tried dozens of things to solve this...deleting network profiles, deleting the route in dos, resetting the adapter and resetting the notebook, with varied success. Nothing seems to ever work 100%, I'll just try everything on a long list in order to get it to work, which can take upwards of 20 minutes and 10% of my battery, on occasion.
Does anyone know a fix for this? Something I'm doing wrong?
