Linux as a Host OS for virtual machines

It depends what you're virtualizing. Linux tends to virtualize a lot better than Windows does, so you'd be better running a Windows host if you plan on having both. It will definitely still work in Linux however.

Thanks! for the answer - I was looking to virtualize windows server and other Linux Server on a Linux (Ubuntu) Host
using VMWare vSphere Hypervisor.
