Hello,
I upgraded my XFX 7600GT to a 8800GTS 640MB eVGA (uninstalled the old driver, removedthe old card, installed the new card (with PCI-E connector), installed the current driver from evga's site. The card works great - no issues there, but when I start my PC, the PC's bios post screen is being displayed really slow - the scrolling is very slow. I don't think that the total boot time has changed much, but the way the POST screen scrolls is very strange. Has anyone else experienced this? I recall reading about someone else who had a similar issue with the 8800GTS 320MB, but I cannot find that post now!
My config is
ASUS P5WDH deluxe
E6600
4GB Crucial DDR2 800
150 GB Raptor (10k) x 2 (Raid 1) - OS
320GB Seagate 7200.9 x 2 (Raid 1) - Data files/bkp
OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU
SAMSUNG SATA DVD RW
Vista 32 bit

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

is your mobo's bios updated?
also did you check if your mobo is fully compatible?
I heard some 8800's series have problem with certain motherboards, and your ASUS model rings a bell..
Thank you for your suggestions - The mobo's bios is up-to-date - actually, it is one version less than the highest bios released, but the new release has only added support for new CPUs. A co-worker is using the 8800 GTS with the P4WDH and after seeing his rig, I had decided to upgrade mine His PC doesn't have this issue - so I was wondering if there was something else that needed to be looked into...
