Is there an area where they show in detail how to hook up a hdtv, vcr, ampl, vcr.
I know the manuals show mainly just the basics, but some of us have more
complicated setups, that only an expert can possibly know.

Unfortunately, human judgment is required to create the optimum
configuration for a given set of HD components. Many configurations will
"work", but typically only one or two will provide the best picture and
sound. Some of the variables that need to be taken into account include the
type and number of connections on the HDTV as well as whether it is a HD TV
or just a HD monitor, the type and number of connections on the amplifier,
as well as the signal (cable, satellite, OTA) that is being fed to the
components. You need to identify what each component does well and what
each component does poorly and adjust your connections accordingly. For
example, a TV may do a better job of converting between formats than a cable
box or the other way around. At any rate, there is no one size fits all
"recipe".
