Quick fix .

Control > Alt > Delete > End Process > explorer.exe

Desktop will show missing

Go back to the Task Manager or ctrl > alt > delete again

Go to prcesses , File , New Task (RUN) and type explorer.exe >
click enter > and delete the file.
