I have a job where i have to clean off computers all day and install windows 2000 on them and the big annoyance with me is windows 2000 does not have a quick format feature so it takes up to 5 minutes deepening on the pc to format the disk. so looking for some alternatives for partitioning software. just so you know i tried a bootable copy of partition magic 8 but after formatting windows 200 picks up the partition as being damaged or not compatible. tried the free live CD gparted and windows 2000 setup does accept it as a valid NTFS partition and installs but after the first reboot it gives me the NTLDR is missing error so gparted failed.
so does anyone know of any other partitioning tools that may be free or not?
