Sims 3 video card

i cannot play my brand new sims 3 game because it keeps telling me that i need to change my video card to application-controlled. i have Nvidia geforce 7600GT how do i change it to application controlled.

Go to your Control Panel, and start the NVIDIA Control Panel. Make sure to choose advanced settings, and you'll end up with a window with a list on the left. Select "Manage 3D Settings" and another list will appear on the right side of the window. Go through each option and select "Application-Controlled" whenever you see it. That is all.
