XP Administrator password reset

I had no idea this was possible. But then I reset it, and I'm on a high right now. Feelin' like a criminal. Even though the only password I reset was on my own laptop.

I have an ecrypted drive, which I have no problem logging into...but then it prompts me for my username and password and every combination that I have used in the past doesn't work...how do you go in as administrator or, bypass this screen altogether?
