I'm looking for a little advice on a non-boot level 1 array. When I originally built this system, I had XP installed on a level 0 array, but after I upgraded to Vista, I just installed Vista on 1 drive and kept all my documents/pictures/media files on the other. Now my drive is getting full and I decided to buy 2 larger drives and setup a level 1 array for a little extra added security.

So I installed my drives, enabled RAID in the BIOS and ran through the Nvidia RAID BIOS utility and setup a mirrored array. It seemed to go ok. It was quick and simple, which made me think that there were more steps that I was missing, like a format or something. So I boot into windows and bring up disk manager and 2 un-initialized disks show up. I was expecting to see 1, so I'm assuming that something wasn't right.

I ran through process a couple of more times thinking that I missed something, but I didn't as far as I can tell. For fun, I initialed the drives and formatted them. Then I copied a file on one drive and check the other it was not mirroring (which is what I was expecting to happen). My setup details are in my configuration page, but it's basically an Epox nForce 4 socket 939 with 2 500gig seagate SATA drives for the array.

I must be missing something fundamental, but I can't seem figure it out. It should show up in disk manager as one drive correct? What do you guys think?
