The "windows update" notification on the lower right corner keeps saying my computer is at risk and i need to turn on "windows update". But it is already and always on. I've tried turning it on and off but still couldn't get it fixed. Please help. Thanks!

Automatic Updates is enabled and the service is running? You might want to double-check that.

After confirming Zorons advice if it all is running, go into the control panel> security center> look at the list on the left> change how security center alerts you> uncheck automatic updates, and whatever else you do not want to be alerted about.
