Anyone/Mack,
is there any way you can provide me with the settings from your KDF-60XS955?
I would like to compare to how my settings are. My picture looks blurry.
By settings I mean the items listed below. The numbers are my settings:
picture - 46
brightness - 31
color - 31
hue - 0
Color temp - neutral
noise reduction - off
mild mode - off
power saving - standard
Advanced video - drc = high, drc palette = custom 1 (50,50), bn = off, live
color = off, clear white = off, detail enhancer = off, black corrector =
off, gamma corrector = off)

On my new Sony KDF42WE655 the above settings can be user-customized and the
settings are retained. There is no need to keep the "factory" settings if
they do not suit your preferences.
I doubt the original poster's complaint of a blurred picture can be fixed by
tinkering with the settings... sounds more like something seriously wrong
with picture focus.

Yes, it is easy-enough to change any of the "factory" settings in any of the
modes, for any of the inputs. And Sony has conveniently marked the spot on
each slider where they thought the adjustment was best, so you can easily
return it there if you want to. It is just that after adjusting my sliders
here and there, I found that I had not improved on the the out-of-the-box
Sony settings, so I left them there.
By "we generally leave it set at Standard (Not Vivid or Movie)" I meant the
picture mode. All three are adjustable. What I should have said was,
"Standard Mode, as Sony had it set out of the box, is what we use most of
the time".
I agree with you that "blurred picture" probably does not have to do with
these settings. Does not sound good. But I think we need to know more
about what he means by "blurred picture".

Do you know how to get into the service mode on the KDF42WE655?
