Be advised that when you turn off UAC you and any apps running now have administrative rights - this is fine when it's firefox but not so fine when it's a silent piece of malware about to alter important OS files.
Lot of people turn it off anyway but you will lose significant security - so long as you know that . . .
yea. a few basic things have been renamed and moved around but hey . it's a new version of windows and you will never be a Vista virgin again, so sit back and enjoy it

I don't mind losing my Vista virginity... I just wish Bill could have done a bit of foreplay or at the very least used lube.
When I moved from Win98 to XP I remember a lot of "Oooh" and "Ahhhs" and "Thats cool!" but with Vista so many things are unintuitive from the way things have been done before... you can really see where they are trying to appeal to the Mac crowd... speaking of, that Toolbar was the first thing to go.
As for security, I have been using a computer for 24 years, I am well aware of the risks I face when I am doing things and do not need Windows to check, check and double check everything I tell it to do. Besides, I do a fresh install of Windows every year anyway, so I'm not to worried about it.
Best security I have found so far is a back up USB external drive for all my important files, a fresh install of Windows every 6 months to a year and redtube instead of random searches results for porn.
Best security money cant buy.
