Linux Mint lxde or Lubuntu

which would be better for like an older laptop. or for like any laptop.

    The two are going to be roughly equivalent (Mint is derived from Ubuntu, both are using the same Window Manager/Desktop Environment). You may want to give some of the other lightweight options a spin (which you can do without installing a new Linux! You actually get to choose on login!).

    Some fine options are:
    XFCE
    Enlightenment 17
    Fluxbox (my personal fave, be ready to edit config files but it is the ultimate in flexibility)
    FVWM-Crystal

    This is not a complete list, just some of the ones that come to mind

    In addition to those two, take a look at peppermint -- I used it for many months and was pleased with it. Recommend One as the version I used.
  3. i dont really like to config stuff on my own. im a lazy dude. lol thats i liked mint when i saw it lol
