You use it to install as long as you have a CD with a previous version of Windows.

you should have gotten a OEM disk with a new build but you usually have to tell them right up. I know with my build I always got an oem starting with, windows 1 the, then 3.1, 95, 98, xp. Go back to the store with proof of what you got and get it.

I was looking at the link and you can install xp pro or vista

I wanted to install xp home

Is there any major differnces of xp home vs pro

Not sure, I have used XP pro, Vista 64 and Vista 32. Be interesting to see if you can get a SP3 slipstreamed CD out of the XP update disk. I would try whatever option was opn, XP Pro and see what happens. Probably nothing 8).

What are you trying to do? You can slipstream SP2or SP3 into a Windows XP Upgrade CD.
