:? . o O (trick question?)

I would say..... NO.

Why?

Cause Intel/AMD:ATI/Nvidia don't put their cutting edge technology on the market. If they did, then they all wouldn't have anything to talk about later on.

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6700 (4MB L2 Cache,2.66GHz,1066 FSB)

You may want to consider a quad. More and more games are using 4 cores.

2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 2 DIMMs

Get DDR2 800 especially if you are going to overclock.

500GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™

Get a single 150 GB WD raptor as a boot / applications HDD. Use the 500 GB Hdd for data/media. Get another el cheapo 400 GB hdd to store your backups on. If money is not object you can double all the drives up for RAID0. Silly, but people do it.

19 inch Samsung 920NW Widescreen LCD Monitor

Using a 8800 GTX with a 19" monitor is stupid. 8800 GTX is for high resolution screens. Get a 22" monitor as a MINIMUM. A 24" if you can afford it.

768MB nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX

This is overkill even for a 22" monitor. Get a 8800 GTS 320 or 640. Use the saved money to get a bigger screen. You only need a GTX for 24" screens and bigger.

AGEIA® PhysX® physics accelerator

Dont be bloody stupid. This thing is useless. Dump it.

Make sure you get a high quality power supply. About 650W and a good make e.g. tagan, seasonic, silverstone.

But with the GTX you can run all the settings at maximum and it will probably be more futureproof with upcoming DX10 games.

A GTS will run everything max on a 19 or 22". The whole 8x series does DX10.

Horrah!

For the moment, but as time progresses games will get more demanding.

I made the changes to the system that were needed.

AGEIA® PhysX® physics accelerator = Huge was of money.

Yeah, lose the ageia and get a larger monitor to get the most out of that gtx. Physx support is very limited and judging by the way ati and nv are working on their own gpu based physics implementations, it's probably a bad idea to buy one.
