still lurking. Haven't had the time to have a saturday night co-op session
lately. In my spare playing time I have been playing through doom3, just
finished it a few days ago.

I look for games, but haven't found any populated games lately. I did find
a Quake co-op server the other night. Pretty cool.

FYI, the QuakeWorld co-op server is here but not running now:
217.17.34.100

Another one has one player (I think I join!):
213.112.11.122

I'm glad you guys are still lurking! Did you ever get a password
co-op server running so the team killers could be kept out?
I would like to try running a co-op server sometime but I am
behind an SMC router and have never been able to get any
game servers to work. I have contacted support and would like to
try again.
I'm about one quarter of the way thru doom3.

I didn't go anyplace, but except for this thread, the group has turned into
a few porno site promos. As much as I loved Q2 I must admit I don't play it
anymore.

I played the game thru for the first time about a year and a half
ago, then again last January. My sons played it alot a long time ago.
I like the co-op play and have started a game with my daughter on
the lan. That got me interested in online co-op play. There used to
be games announced here but none of late. I tried to connect to
George's last night but didn't find it.

I'm entirely out of Quake space for a while. My huge expensive monitor
knew exactly when the warranty expired and punched out. The emergency
backup is too small, too dark, and too worn out for play. Sigh.

I did get the big screen running again for one day. Crossing my
fingers that it's a high voltage leak. I'll be using some serious
compressed air next to get every last dust bunny.

Game on at my place if it starts working again. I miss you guys.

Best,
Tom

Onslaught is the first game I played which makes effective use of vehicles.
It has a fatal flaw though -- it's so difficult to make a comeback that the
outcome is usually determined in the first couple of minutes.

That's along the same lines as my own thoughts. I played a little UT2K4
demo recently and it seemed a lot like the original, except darker and
slower. I view UT as the heir to Q2's greatness.

I'm theoddone33 if anyone remembers... I guess it wasn't obvious.

Sure, I remember theoddone33. I remember it took me about a month to parse
your name correctly. I was seeing it as "theo done" or something. Then one
day it hit me. Yeah, I can be a little dense. :) Good times back in 99
