So you want to use Firefox 3.5 now, and you can't wait for your favorite add-ons to get updated. Why not just disable version checking for all add-ons? It's easier than you think.
Before you continue however, remember that Firefox checks the versions of add-ons for a good reason: incompatible add-ons may cause the browser to crash unexpectedly.
How to Disable Add-On Version Checking:
Type in about:config in Firefox's Address Bar.
If this is the first time you're doing this, tell Firefox you'll be careful!
Right-Click anywhere on the list, Select New, then click on Boolean.
Set the Name to extensions.checkCompatibility
Set the Value to false.
Restart Firefox. Your incompatible add-ons should now start working.
Sometimes though the above process doesn't necessarily work, especially for more advanced add-ons that deal with personal info like username and passwords. If that's the case, go here for more details.
