Recently I restored a windows image backup of windows vista ultimate 64 using the backup and vista CD boot disc. All went well, except now when I restart my computer I always get two successive windows that popup saying that "MS DTC console has stopped working....." It checks for a problem, doesn't find one, then it disappears. It always happens twice in a row.
This is a similar post from another website, but it is exactly what happened to me as well, the guy only got an answer, "disable it if you don't need it". I would like to know how to fix it. I tried restarting this service & get an error "1067 the process terminated unexpectedly", also tried in run mode "msdtc.exe - install", also checked forums where it states check registry settings in Local machine/software/microsoft/MSDTC & all entries are there and correct.
any help much appreciated, is there anyway just to re-install this service?
Why does Vista keep saying MS DTC Console has stopped working?
