i just received my copy of OEM vista 64bit but on the box its talking about an OPK (operating system pre-isntallation kit)

its also saying i need to register with microsoft as a partner in order to get this "kit". which requires me to have a business.

do i need it? because i have not heard any mention of this OPK on internet or and forums reguarding oem installation.

is it new? im a bit gutted because i dnt want to open it and cause myself issues if i need to return it.

was looking forward to booting up my computer for first time after finally finishin building it.

You don't need the kit so just install Vista would be my guess. A regular install of Vista requires no kit, this is for preinstalling OEM crap sounds like. Not sure if their are any licensing issues, I would assume such a version was meant for system builders and large businesses but if you have a key it should work I would think.
