My friend was trying to remove the password prompt when he boots up XP. He used the steps from a site:
"Click START, then RUN
Type control userpasswords2
Uncheck the box that says Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
After rebooting, his original profile was gone (only Admin or Guest profile options were available). We can see he has 250GB of space taken up on the 320GB hard drive, which are mainly pictures and music, but are unable to see or access them. I tried doing a Search for *.mp3 or *.jpg and it only came up with the default Windows pictures/songs.
Is there any way to recover access to the files? It looks like they're all still there but I can't drill down in any folder or file to see them.
Thanks!
