NIC Drivers

I have just reinstalled windows xp for the first time & now I cannot connect to the internet. I phoned my ISP & after going thru a few things they came to the conclusion that my NCI Drivers were not working or needed installing. I have no idea what they were talking about. Can someone please help me in easy terms please. Thanks in advance.

NIC=Network Interface Card. They're telling you to install drivers for your network card (or chip for onboard networking). You should have got a CD with your PC that has the necessary drivers.
