HI, okay, so i have looked on teh dell website (piece of shit) and they only list options for ddr2 pc 4200 (533mhz) YET I ran the Crucial System scan and it says my laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1501 will accept up to 2gb of ddr2 pc5300 (667mhz) Which is what i would like to buy from Newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231116

Now, I currently have 1gb shared memory, and run anywheres from 45-65% on physical memory without any applications (excluding background apps) running. I would like to upgrade to the product listed above, and would believe crucial's site over dell's in a minute, yet i just wanted to get some reassurance from some of the folks here.

Thank you...

You can always run faster RAM at a slower speed. Also, I believe Crucial guarantees that any memory their configurator recommends will work in your system (as long as you have purchased it directly from them).
