I have a dell stuido with a 500gb wd hd. I know after i fill it upa a little it isgoing to get slower. I want to get antoher one and run a raid 0 but I dont have a regular vista cd. Can i set it up in the mother board and vista pick it up? i have never installed vista before. I guess all i am asking is can i use a restore cd and the raid work or will i need to get ahold of a vista home pre. 64bit sp1 cd?

A restore CD will only restore the computer to the exact same state it was in when you bought it.

I'd just add the second HDD as a secondary internal HDD, you can access it just the same.
