Hi guys,

I just build new computer with a 64bit Q6600 and 4 gigs of ram, and I'm trying to figure out which OS to install. Generally I'd prefer XP, but I've heard that the 32bit version won't use all of my memory in my computer and on that the 64bit version has no driversupport.

Which OS should I go with, or would I be better off with 32 or 64bit VISTA?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks!

I agree with br3nd064,

Vista 64 has much better driver support than XP 64.

That being said I have 4GB of RAM installed with Vista 32 bit. 3.5GB of this is recognised and the pc flies. It has an E6850 processor.

I think you will only really notice your pc struggling along if you run heavy video editing applications or the like. Anything that demands huge mathematical equations be run.
