Cannot download driver disks to hard drive after loading ubuntu 11.10 to intel b

Hello,can't input cd drivers to hardrive operating system activated ok but cannot find relevent answer in help pages

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are trying to do here. Can you give us some details like what operating system and just what you are trying to do.

It's hard to help if we can't see what the problem is.

Just as a side note, any Windows Drivers (likely to be the ones on a "cd") would not work in linux.

Thnks for answer another member has told me that Intel driver disks will not work with linux

Thanks for info does this mean that iwill not be able to use ubuntu 11.10 as an operating system

It just means that you don't need the Windows drivers. Linux provides it's own drivers; it has to as it's a totally different Operating System. Don't worry about drivers, just worry about whether your Ubuntu install is working. If it is then all is well.

And thanks to the internet, whatever drivers you don't have you can download the Linux version of it from the internet.

If you want everything working out of the box and it isn't, you can just try another Linux distribution, like Fedora or OpenSUSE.

Hi amdfangirl thanks for your advice i will try the internet as a new builder perhaps i was jumping in to fast
