Hello,

I uploaded my access file to the pda using Data on the Run. My computer
crashed and I lost data. I have the access file, that was lost in my
computer, on my pda. I would like to transfer this file from my pda to my
computer but dont know how or even if it is possible because when you upload
to data on the run it formats the file for data on the run and not sure if
the file can be reformatted to its original. Any ideas?

thanks

Tony,

In looking at the Data on the Run website, it appears that once you have the
application installed on your PC again and do a data synchronization, you
should get the file back on the PC in a useable format.

Hope this helps,

Actually Data On The Run doesn't reformat the data. Translation from .mdb to
..cdb is an ActiveSync function. You should be able to drag the .cdb back
onto your desktop and AS will prompt you for a DB name and location. Be
aware that all you will get back is the tables and their content. Not any of
the queries, forms, etc, as none of that is transferred to the PPC.

If it doesn't ask you what to do with that .cdb when you drag it from the AS
PPC window to your desktop, first make sure you have Access sync selected
and then if need be also open up the AS options/rule/conversion settings and
make sure that device to desktop has a .cdb entry set to convert to .mdb
