I am having a strange problem with blank media. Everytime I put a blank DVD or CD in my drive, I freezes my computer. If I eject the disc, it comes back to life. I can put in a disc with anything on it and the problem does not happen. The drive in Question is a Lite-On LH-20A1L Sata. I have an old lg dvd burner and it does not cause the same problem. I have already had the drive swaped by the retailer, so I doubt that I could have gotten 2 bad drives. I have turned off the auto play feature and I still did not help, It just freezes when I select the drive. I have a clean install of windows with all updates, I have not installed any burning programs or virtual drives, I have also updated all of the drivers, the bios and the firmware for the drive. Any help would be greatly appricated.
thanks
