Hi there, not sure if this is the right place to post.

Recently my desktop USB drives have stopped working. My printer is attached by a usb drive and that works fine, but if I plug in a thumbdrive or my camera into a USB port (even the one which works for the printer) it does recognise that the devise has been plugged in, yet I can't open it. Whenever I click on the icon in My Computer I get told I need to format the disk.

Any ideas what's wrong and how it can be fixed??

In device manager it says all USB ports are working properly.
