Hey everyone I am planning on making the jump to vista besides all the bad rap sometimes it gets I want to use my 4gb's of ram and DX10
I was planning on going with the home premium version 64 bit but I've herd OEM is much cheaper I was worried of doing this because I would have no support with it if something happens since its not the retail version
Any suggestions on personal experience that can help me out.. thanks

I also only have one hard drive at the moment
OEM is much cheaper but could seriously cost you in the long run if you upgrade your computer often, meaning as far as Microsoft is concerned the OEM License is not transferable to a different motherboard.
This has been argued over and over but Microsoft has plainly stated their stand on this issue, now what they will and will not allow is questionable as far as an existing motherboard failure is concerned, it would probably have to be replaced by an exact replacement, but if you upgrade and completely change out your setup on a regular basis, the retail version license can legally be transfered from one motherboard to another.
The link below is directly from Microsoft and the downloadable PDF file, fully in writing, explains their stand on this, so legally if they determine you've breached their OEM licensing agreement, for that computer license in question its over.
Wasn't that way with OEM versions of XP, but there was nothing in writing covering the issue with XP at Microsofts website, but there plainly is with Vista!
