I have amd64 hp pavilion, 500 GB hard drive, 3 GB ram, I recently got a wireless router, because the provider won't install my internet in the same room as my computer, so I only have wireless, no wired connection, I can get wireless to work with fedora 16, I have tried sabayon 7, opensuse 12.1, mandriva 2011, archlinux, debian. All the others wants you to connect to the internet to download this and that first. Fedora 16 is the only one to work out of the box. Any help please.

More about : wireless

Probably go with Fedora 16. Download the driver save, and install it in another distro.

What's the wireless adapter that you're using on the PC? It might be that a small config change on the initially booted installation would be enough to get you connected.
