I tried to do a clean install of vista on my new system and it tells me that a CD/DVD driver is missing and I have to find it.
Ive looked through all the drivers I have but none of them seem to be the one its looking for.
Can Someone help me?
My setup is:
AMD Athlon 64X2 6000+ 3.1GHz
MSI K9A2 Platinum Motherboard
4GB Corsair 800MHz RAM
EVGA 9800GT
Xigmatek Cooler
CoolerMaster Real Power 650W
Samsung 22X DVD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6827151173

The only thing I can see being the problem from those links is the firmware for my dvd drive.
How do I update my drive with the firmware?
Can I just set it as the driver to download when it asks me to find the driver?
I was looking at the flat install. copy the files over and install then you can delete that directory.
your drive isnt the problem. Once vista is loaded it will see it with no trouble.
