I have a USB RFID reading device that places its result (unique ID #)into a Windows Application (Excel).

However when I want to use 2 or more of these devices they all go into the same column of Excel without any ID as to which reader was used.

What is the best way to identify the reader with each entry. I have tried the manufacturer and distributor and get no response.

Can I accessthe keyboard wedge part of the code onboard th device and add in a few more keypresses

or should I have a PIC based device inbetween the USB device and laptop which would insert the number allocated to the specific reader.

or is there a different way altogether ?

Charlie
