When I play games like Gmod and World of Warcraft, where there is a subfolder inside the main root of the game folder in program files 86, all the files in there dont work. for example Gmod is something like "Program files 86> steam>...>gmod(the game is here)>addons" nothing is being found in the addons folder when I play the game. Its a little hard to explain but I did the best I can, if anyone can help me here it would be greatly appreciated, if it dosent make sence tell me and I will try again.

This is a new one to me and I can't think of any particular reason why. Any chance the game is trying to find something in 'program files' as opposed to 'program files (x86)? Vista has two program files directories, one for 64 and one for x86 (ie 32 bit apps) as you may already know.

Another shot is to run the game in 'administrator mode' (right click on exe., run as . . ) and/or in XP compatibility mode which you will find under properties for the game exe.

Well you would think that it the game would not check in just program files, it would look in the directory where the game is installed, but I will try making an empty rout to the addons folder in my program files folder.

And I have tried running it as administrator.
