Help!!

My husband and I bought 3 of the asus 700 701sd xp Linux netbooks for our 3 girls for Christmas. Husband got them set up and ready to go a couple weeks ago. Made sure they were fully charged. Girls turn them on this morning and NOTHING!!! It will turn on but all it shows is the home screen icon along with the tips and shutdown icons but we can not select any of them much less get to the actual home screen to use the computer! As you can imagine our girls ages 11, 9, and 6 were heart broken so we are in desperate need for help. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear about this, but saying "it doesn't work" tells us exactly nothing. if you want a quick fix without debugging, download and install latest ubuntu, meego (or a similar distrobution) onto the netbooks.

You can put the disk image on a usb stick to install.

Alternatively jump into the ubuntu irc chat room.
Otherwise be prepared to spend a LOT of time debugging.
