What is the best vampire movie for you?

Although most men said it's a gay movie, for me it's still the Twilight movies. From 1-4.

Im not an avid fan of Robert Pattinson but of Stephenie Meyer, the author of the books.

How about you?

More about : vampire movie

most guys see twilight as a chick-flick. in fact, i believe the novels are oriented towards women as well.

i would have a hard time listing just one so let me list a few worth checking out:

blade1, 2, 3
underworld1, 2, 3 (new ones sucked)
vampire wars
dracula2000, 3000, II
lost boys
queen of the dammed
insatiable
bled
thirst
nosferatu (if only for nostalgia, its a bit corny)
priest

to name a few. i've got a rather large scifi horror collection...

"Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles" and "Bram Stoker's Dracula".
The second one is my favourite.

This seems to be a slow thread but I'll throw in my 2 cents.

Underworld series for the eye candy.

Blade series for the special effects and general badassery.

From Dusk till Dawn for the coolness factor and sheer WTF.

True Blood. Ok it's TV but still this is my guilty pleasure show. Makes me laugh every episode even if it has gone crazy the last few seasons.

The Lost Boys was awesome when it came out. I was 13 though and when I try to rewatch it today it just has not aged well. Priest was actually pretty good. Interview with the Vampire was also pretty good but I read the book and movies almost always disappoint when you have read the book.

And yeah. Buffy. I liked Buffy. Shoot me.

Books.

Salem's Lot. Read it when I was about 12 and it still creeps me out today at almost 39. Great book.

The Passage and The Twelve by Justin Cronin. There will be a third book and the movie rights have already been sold. Very good and a refreshing new take on the mythology.

The Anne Rice books. They get a little gay ( not that there is anything wrong with that ) but in general they are quite entertaining.

They Thirst by Robert McCammon. McCammon had the potential in my opinion to be the equal of Steven King. I love his books but he basically went nuts and decided he hated all of his books and quit writing for years. He wrote a book called Swan Song that is as good as the Stand in my opinion and one of the best werewolf books ever with The Wolf's Hour. He finally started writing again in 2007 after not publishing anything since 1991. He is one of my favorite horror authors.

Interview with the Vampire, although it's a little sad I think.
