Hi,

I want to install CentOS 6.2 on my external USB portable SATA drive (80 GB).

I downloaded CentOS-6.2-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso from CentOS mirrors website & burnt it to DVD. Then, I rebooted & it started but then I couldn't find an Install option to install it on USB drive...How can I install this on USB drive? Do I need to do anything special?

Can some one provide step by steps to install the same on USB drive??

Thanks!

Hello Experts,

Really appreciate if some one can provide these instructions or I'll have to switch back to Windows....:-(

Please note that I don't want LiveCD which has limitation of 4GB persistence only.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. But since I'm new to linux, I'm not sure what is meant by "When you boot CentOS and get to the initial screen, type “linux expert”...."

When I put the CentOS cd & boot through it, it just shows the menu option like "install from hard disk...", etc...Where do I need to type "linux expert" exactly???

Thanks!
